Waiting on Wednesday (3): The Lost Girl by Sangu Mandanna

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by the awesome Breaking the Spine!

This week, I'm eagerly waiting on:

The Lost Girl - Sangu Mandanna
Expected U.S. Publication Date: August 28, 2012

HER LIFE BEGINS WHEN ANOTHER ONE ENDS.

Eva’s life is not her own. She is a creation, an abomination—an echo. Made by the Weavers as a copy of someone else, she is expected to replace a girl named Amarra, her “other”, if she ever died. Eva studies what Amarra does, what she eats, what it’s like to kiss her boyfriend, Ray. So when Amarra is killed in a car crash, Eva should be ready.

But fifteen years of studying never prepared her for this.

Now she must abandon everything she’s ever known—the guardians who raised her, the boy she’s forbidden to love—to move to India and convince the world that Amarra is still alive.

Yes. Yes. And yes. I really want this book! I've never read a book about a person who must replace another person when they pass away. Sangu Mandanna's debut novel is one that I'm so excited for!

What are you waiting on this week? Leave your links to your WoW post in the comments section below so I can check it out!
